yesterday I went to Nehru Place for searching a webcam for setting up live workshop on web. I wanted to invest very small money. I found "Adacom ChatRoom" USB webcam which is just 320/- INR. but when i tested it on linux I found it contain's crappy microdia chip. Today I went again for replacing the webcam. I found that "Quantum QHMPL WEBCAM" which works out of box. more over you can find a penguin on box. (see image).
I am happy with this new webcam. It costs me 420 INR (appx 9USD).
I have attached some of the screenshots which are basically 640x480 pixel.
